Life has been crazy over the last 6 weeks – So I’ve started here at Pinnacle and so far, 4 weeks on, I’m not looking back at all in the slightest, especially from the reports I hear from my ‘spies’ left at Serversys – Ben has handed in his notice and at time of writing, only has 9 days left. Well we got down here in one go. The plan was for me to pick up Oscar on Friday at 2:30pm once he finished school for the Xmas holidays, but before that I had to finish off some of the game stuff. Once sorted it was just a case of filling up the car with all my stuff.
September was going to be a month not to forget for both good a bad points. First of all the month started with our early 3 year anniversary. Jon put in a post code in my SatNav and off we went, we did this last year as well and ended up in gorgeous Manor House called Etington Park.
The weather here has been unbearable, with temperatures reaching 29C on Sunday (88F). Though this all came to a head last night as a fantastic thunder storm raged for only a few minutes but was enough to put a dampener on things, but then it got really muggy (at 23:30) but then during the night it rained again and this was enough to turn the tide and finally bring in the cool breeze.
Just round the corner is my 31st birthday. 31st!!! Even now that number feels so surreal. I certainly don’t feel as old as I should be. Though I’m not as fit as I should be either. Mentally I still feel like I’m in my early 20’s – almost as if I had just moved into Cherwell Cottage. Read the rest of this entry »
